SWEENEY TODD:
THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET
About The Show
SWEENEY TODD is the blood-curdling musical thriller about a man driven to madness by injustice. Laced with Stephen Sondheim’s characteristically brilliant wit and dark humour, this razor sharp tale of vengeance and true love features some of the finest music ever written for the theatre.
Olivier Award winner DAVID BEDELLA plays razor-wielding madman Sweeney Todd and Sarah Ingram his pie-making partner in crime, Mrs. Lovett, in the intimate, chamber production of the Tony Award and Olivier Award-winning musical.
This production opened London’s Twickenham Theatre on 10th September 2014 to universal critical acclaim. After an extraordinary demand for tickets saw the entire run sold out in unprecedented time, extra dates were added due to the phenomenal and overwhelming public demand. All extra tickets were sold out in just 24 hours.
